Press Briefing has been arranged by Talcher Fertilizers Ltd in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on 20.01. 2020.The Gathering has been addressed by Union Fertilizers Secretary and CEO along with TFL Higher Officials.

Honourable Secretary explained about selection of Technology for Talcher Fertilizers plant and committed for more than Rs 8000 Cr Contracts. He expressed work on the Project will progress well. The pre-project activities of TFL are underway with full swing at site. Jobs like site grading, construction power & water are near completion and another major job related to construction of roads, culverts, drains etc. is underway.

TFL shall promote alternative use of abundantly available domestic coal in an environment friendly manner. It will produce 2.38 Million Metric Standard Cubic Meter Per Day (MMSCMD) natural gas equivalent Synthesis Gas (Syngas) from coal.

Further, He has made a note on Emission of Carbon Dioxide in direct Coal fired Process, however at Talcher Plant it shall be captured in closed loop process and recycled for production of Urea.

Union Secretary of Fertilizers has also emphasized that the project is expected to significantly improve the quality of life and socio-economic status of the people in the area as it will generate opportunities in the form of direct and indirect employment in the region.
