An important milestone of the Talcher project i.e. award of LSTK contract of the project has been achieved and to celebrate the same a ‘Ceremony of Award’ was held on 17th Sept., 2019 at Hotel Leela Palace, New Delhi in the presence of Hon’ble Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers, Shri D V Sadananda Gowda, Hon’ble Minster for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan and Hon’ble MoS, for Chemicals and Fertilisers Shri Mansukh Mandaviya and other distinguished guests. The contract has been awarded to M/s Wuhuan Engineering Co. Ltd., China who has been selected as the LSTK contractor for implementing the coal gasification and ammonia/urea packages of Talcher Fertilizers Ltd. after following rigorous tendering process. M/s Wuhuan is foremost agency in the coal gasification area and has rich EPC experience in coal to fertilizer sector having built 09 gasification plants.

The ‘Inauguration of Works’ of the project has already been done by our Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi in Sept., 2018 and since then many of the pre project like site development, provision of construction water and power, guest house have been undertaken by TFL and same shall be completed soon.
